PADARC is a membership based club, open to all adult riders in the South West District of Victoria.  

Based in Portland, Western Victoria, the club provides high quality instruction and is a friendly nurturing environment for beginners to the more advanced rider.  The Club aims for all members, regardless of their skill level and experience to reach their riding goals.

 

Club membership usually stands at 60 members with riders of all levels attending rallies and competitions.

 

Full Adult membership is available to riders from 18 years of age. Family membership is available for up to 1 adult and 2 children. Junior membership is available.  There is also a non-rider/associate membership designed for the non riding horse enthusiasts.

 

We hold bi-monthly rallies, and regular clinics, and host at least six official events annually including; Dressage, Show Jumping, Navigation Rides, Showing, Gymkhana and Trail Rides.  Some members prefer to only ride at rallies whilst other members regularly travel and compete in HRCAV competitions.

 

Our grounds are located at Yarraman Park, just South of the town and is managed by the Glenelg Shire Council. 

Our facilities boast a large all weather covered sand arena that is fully enclosed, horse yards, sand roll and horse wash, etc.

We share the grounds with Portland Go Cart Club, Portland Pony Club, Portland Pigeon Club, Portland Poultry Club, Portland Light Harness Club, Portland Polo Cross Club & the Portland Gymnastics Club.

 

Our Club newsletter is sent to each member after our monthly meeting. The newsletter contains rally booking information, competition results and/or other club information. Contributions from members are always welcome.

We also have a PADARC facebook page as a friendly and open forum to ask questions and keep in touch with each other, this is for both members and non members to keep up to date.
